Intranet portal development for a federal government agency

A federal government agency responsible for culture and artistic affairs needed a single space for information support of its employees: uniform publishing and data technology, personalized access to corporate data and services, and support for over 5,000 intranet users.

The portal automates the everyday work that used to run on paper and email — employee search and directory, contact details, work schedules and absences, document versions, and search across documents, people and organizational structure. It also gathers checklist information from employees on key issues, then analyzes and visualizes it.

Three business processes were automated end to end: recruitment of a new staff member, editing employee information, and pass ordering — each with approvals, account changes in Microsoft Active Directory, and synchronization with the payroll and HR system.
